Specialty Items are items that take a special skill, strength, and know how in order to move them safely. Specialty items do come with an additional cost and is something you should ask your Power Movers LLC representative. Here are a few examples of specialty items:
Pianos
We have a specific way to move each piano rather you have a upright piano or a baby grand we know the steps to take and we have the equipment and man power to get your beautiful instrument to its new home safely.
Cubicles
There are not allot of companys willing to deal with the hassle of cubicles. At Power Movers LLC we are more then ready for the challenge. We do dissassembly, palleting, transportation, and reassembly
Safes
Safes come in many different shapes and sizes and obviously we move the little ones for free; but when it comes to the big ones you know the 5-600 pound safes that you keep all the guns in? yeah that guy we move them as well. However, they do require special know how, equipment, and strength to move them and are considered a specialty item.
Excersise equiptment
Staying fit definitely has its perks, but when it comes to moving taking apart gym equipment and hauling pure weights can definitely be a hassle. We take on that hassle for you. work out equipment has alot of hardware and some require a lot of dissassembly. However it is the time it takes and the weight alone that makes this a specialty item.
Save time
You may be on a budget this time around. There is a few tips I can give you to help save you time and money when it comes to your move. Number 1. the more that is packed and ready the better. Meaning the less misc. items the faster your move will go. Number 2. You can do any disassembly yourself. Number 3. placing boxs in a conveinent place such as the front room, or the garage. Somewhere your movers can grab and quickly bring to the truck to load it. Fortunitely for those who dont want to do all of these things we do offer this as a service.

The Process
Introduction
When your movers first arrive they will greet you and introduce their selves and ask for a walkthrough to see all the items that will be moved. They will address any concerns or items you would like to have speacial attention.
The Game Plan and set up
After the movers have assessed everything you want to be moved, they will come up with a plan of action to begin clearing out your home. They will begin to set up the truck and lay down floor runners and carpet shield as well placing doorway protection if desired.
Furniture prep
Padding and wrapping furniture is necesary to protect your belongings. usually one or two movers will do this depending on the size of your move.
Packing the Truck
Packing the truck is like a huge and very real game of Tetris, but packing a truck isn't as easy as it sounds. We pack our trucks to insure the safety of your property. Making sure that everything is secure and protected so it will not shift or move during transit. Making it safe for you, our movers, and everyone else on the road.
The Unload
The unload is usually always faster then the load unless if there is a longer walk or some unseen circumstance. The movers will then ask for a walk through so you can show them where you would like your belongings to be placed. The movers will lay down floor and door protection and set up the truck. As they proceed to unload they will unwrap all your furniture and put together any furniture they have had to disassemble to move.
Wrapping Up
After everything has been placed where you have directed, the movers will then pull up all carpet shield and floor runners and door protection; at this point the team lead will then add up your total bill and will finalize everything with you. From there it is fair wells and goodbyes and the rest is in your hands until next time.
